Yerrrr!!! My name is Mavenue, but you can call me Mave! Thank you for even reading and or listening. Well since you’re here, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a Creative Scenic Director, Executive Producer, Multipotentialite writer and founder of MavenueNY.
As first generation in the states I originally majored in Biology to satisfy my families dream. I minored in journalism to continue perfecting my writing skills for my blog that had already been featured in “The Source” magazine. The internet really began to gain traction and Twitter became a companion in expressing my love for music.
“The Compass”, Suffolk community college’s newspaper was a blessing as it allowed me to curate a music community on campus, and connect artist with listeners through interviews. This transitioned my freelance career as a journalist and I eventually dropped out of college. My articles started gaining recognition and I started to become published in magazines including XXL, and GowhereHipHop.
In 2010 I launched my first production “Cafe Con Leche” a radio station that provided a platform for up and coming creatives including Lejuan James, Chinx, It’s Bizkit, Andres Gallardo and many more.
I wanted to push my limit and started hosting live events at locations including Sounds Of Brazil (SOB), B. B. Kings Blues Club, Amityville Music Hall, and The Knock Down Center.
In 2018 I started Motivational Mave Lifestyle segment on YouTube that honed in on how to keep yourself on go. I went into hideous in 2019, but was still perfecting my craft. I began to explore my other creative outlets and began to dabble in screen writing, creating short films, curating treatments for photo shoots, and show ideas.
In 2022 I was offered a position as a Executive Producer for “I didn’t want to do this” show and began my freelance career as scenic director. I’m now here sharing my work with the world!
