TYLER THE CRATOR : SORRY NOT SORRY X ESTATE SALE

Tyler The Creator is a marketing genius. Most of us would call it the release of a deluxe album but Tyler bolster his Call Me If You Get Lost with a clever title elease of Estate Sale, with tracks that didn’t make it to the original album. Prior to the release of Estate Sale, He dropped the music video for SORRY NOT SORRY.

I’m sorry I don’t see you more. I’m sorry that the four minutes when you see your son could feel like a chore” the rapper reveals through the tracks intro.

Tyler The Creator’s new music video he goes past all his eras covering Bastard, Goblin, Wolf, Cherry Bomb, Flower Boy, Igor, and Sir Baudelaire. Releasing his ego as he enters into each character.

Sorry to my old friends. The stories we could have told if our egos didn’t take the pen” addressing the break up of Odd Future. During the odd future era fans anticipated the drop of EARLWORLF a collab album with Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler.

I’m sorry to the guys that I had to hide. Sorry to the girls I had to lie to” Tyler vents as he represents his Flower boy era, immediately entering his Goblin era ego “fans say I changed, cause I did.” Addressing the fans that did not agree with his change in music and style during this time. Not forgetting about how people judged him in the beginning of his career during his Bastard era  “I’m sorry that the talent, knowledge, passion, isn’t missing.”

While these characters are rapping Tyler Okonma slowly peels  each character from the frame. Recreating  a shot from Kendrick Lamar’s ELEMENT. Even a sample of Kendrick is used in the video. We can speculate that Sir Baudelaire was last due to being the character with the biggest ego. This may be a hint for a future project showcasing his true character.
