Typically a duo album between sisters Chloe and Halle is what fans expect but on March 31, 2023 that all changed. Chloe released her highly anticipated debut solo album In Pieces via Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. On the first episode of 777 Radio with Latto on Apple Music, Chloe reveals that she’s currently prevailing her “makeup - breakup” heartbreak era, and projecting her emotions in her music.
The album was delayed for two years and seemed to get a lot of kick back due to her collaboration with Chris Brown, nonetheless it’s here. The album showcases her elasticity as an artist and I hope to see Chloe continue to develop her niche sound as this album seems to be very experimental.
➕ How Does Feel Featuing Chris Brown, Produced by Hitmaker. The song samples Dionne Warwick’s You’re Gonna Need Me, which Usher also sampled in 2004 on Throwback.
➕ Make It Look Easy Produced by UPNORTH, Chanelbigs & Chloe. She touches base on having to put herself back together every time she breaks. Although the message is powerful I mostly enjoyed the production and the impact of the orchestra on the outro.
➕ Worried Produced by Metro Booming & David x Eli. “Do you worry 'bout me? Worried. I’m not worried, you not worthy. Oh, you hurt me, don't deserve me” This song gives me absolute SZA vibes.
