Angie Martinez, first woman to review the title Voice Of New York. She started her career answering Hotlines for then WQHT. She is known for having some of the most infamous interviews that til this day sit in her vault, including her sit down with Tupac. KRS One and Red Man encouraged the young host to pursue a career in rapping in 1996 which led her to appear on Heartbreak (1997). Lil Kim caught wind of the song and invited Martinez to join the Ladies Night Remix, which featured Missy Elliot, Lisa “Left Eye” lopes, and Da Brat. Kim at the time had Ladies Night show on the radio. She’s confirmed during an interview with Fader, that she also has songs and even a third album that most likely won’t see the light of day.
