One thing Nike is doing is coming for everyone. In November of 2023 Nike had filed a trademark infringement lawsuit with Southern District of New York. Defendants Nickwon Arvinger and David Weeks of By Kiy LLC Kool Kiy and Bill Omar Carrasquillo of Reloaded Merch LLC Omi in a Hellcat as per Nike are liable of trademark infringement in regards to the Air Jordan 1 and Nike Dunk. Nike also went after brands like Lululemon. The biggest debate was why was Nike coming for independent designers vs. coming for people who created exact replicas?
Although there has been no updates on anyone being busted for producing replicas, Nike has found a source that has been selling them. Stock X which was initially known for their thorough inspections for verifying authentication is now being sued by Nike. Nike confirms that a reseller recently purchased 62 pairs of sneakers from Stock X at which 38 were fake. SockJig was able to confirm details with the seller. Check out the details down below.
